Athletic Performance Training

SUMMER SESSIONS

Whatever your goals may be, Mac-N-Seitz can help you get there faster, quicker and stronger.  But, you don't have to take our word for it.  Check out the testimonials at the bottom of this page!  You can expect dramatic results regardless of your athletic ability or level.

This program is designed to build the complete athlete from the ground up. The core of the class is built around the concept of building a base in three areas:

  • core strength,
  • mobility, and
  • proper body mechanics.

By increasing the efficiency in these areas one can build greater speed, greater strength, which in turn will build great power. Participants will work to improve lateral speed, first step explosiveness, rotational power, among many other aspects that all elite athletes need.

To evaluate the student's progress, testing will be done on certain aspects of physical performance at the beginning and end of each month.  Days of testing may vary.

HIGH SCHOOL - SIGN UP HERE

  • 8 weeks starting June 4th
  • Monday and Wednesday
  • 9:15am – 10:30am
  • Maintenance strength training, rotational work, limited overhead activities, and agility work

Focus will be to keep players at optimal strength and speed throughout the 8 weeks of summer.  Flexibility, shoulder health, and soft tissue manipulation will be key factors in the program.

ADVANCED (13-14 Years Old)- SIGN UP HERE

Comprised of 13 – 14 year olds with the exception of 12 year olds who have been cleared for the advance program

  • 8 weeks starting June 4th
  • Monday and Wednesday
  • Two possible sessions: 11:00am – 12:15pm  or  5:00pm – 6:15pm

Focus of the class is to maintain arm strength and health through the summer season.  Rotational work opposite the athlete’s dominant throwing/hitting side will be a mainstay through the class to counteract the imbalance in the body created during season.

The speed and agility component of the class will focus less on technique through the summer months, and focus more on improving overall athletic ability since players are in season.

The class will introduce athletes to the proper movements and verbal cues of Olympic style lifts (commonly used in high school weight rooms) in order to build strength and power.  Even though the class will not train with these lifts on a routine basis, the athletes need to understand the correct technique going into a high school weight program that is based solely on Olympic style lifting.

INTERMEDIATE (9-12 Years Old) - SIGN UP HERE

  • 8 weeks starting June 5th
  • Tuesday and Thursday
  • Two possible sessions: 9:30am – 10:45am or  5:00pm – 6:15pm

The intermediate class will focus on teaching the proper fundamentals of running form and agility movements.

Strength components will be introduced in the form of body weight exercises (lunges, squats, push ups, pull ups).  Along with the strength components, athletes will be performing several core strengthening exercises using rotational movements to mimic the rotational demands placed on them in baseball and softball related activities.

TESTIMONIALS

Most importantly it has prepared me mentally and physically to endure a 6 month season...overall giving me more confidence in my game. - Ray Chang, AAA Minnesota Twins
The training allowed me to put on muscle while maintaining the flexibility that I need. The program also gave me the extra edge over my competitors that allowed me to move on to the next level. - Catcher, Middle Tennessee State
Jake attended the classes in the fall 2010 and winter 2011. Jake's strength definitely improved for the spring baseball season. He was able to make stronger throws, hit with more pop and was much faster on the base paths. Your class was a significant factor in Jake's success on the field and helped earn a Division I scholarship. Thanks again Rob! - John M. Wodtke
Our son has been working out with Rob over the past two years; noticibly strengthening his body, and enhancing his speed and agility on the baseball field. His 60 yard dash time improved from 7.1 to 6.7 over one fall session. Rob’s conditioning program helped our son gain confidence by establishing a thorough workout routine and routininely pushing him to be a top athlete; prepared to compete in baseball at the collegiate level. We appreciate the tailored, small group sessions Rob has offered and highly recommend your son or daughter train with him to become an all around better athlete; increasing stamina, setting good training habits and give them an extra edge when looking for athletic scholarship opportunities. - Rob Becker, father of Dylan Becker - Missouri State University
